SOUTH STORMONT — An accused impaired driver increased his legal woes after allegedly committing an indecent act following his arrest along Highway 401 in South Stormont.
The events leading up to the man’s apprehension unfolded shortly before 8 p.m. on New Year’s Eve, when the SD&G OPP responded to a traffic complaint on the 401. Officers wound up locating the subject vehicle after it left the highway and struck a tree.
The local detachment says that Mark Clute, 47, of Vaughan, Ont., “exposed himself to officers” after being taken into custody.
In addition to impaired driving charges, Clute has been charged with: Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle; Driving while disqualified; Indecent Act; Possession of Property obtained by crime; Fail to comply with conditions of probation order (three counts); and Fail to comply with conditions of Recognizance
The accused was held in custody pending an appearance in Cornwall court.
Two impaired on S. Stormont road
SOUTH STORMONT — The wee hours of Dec. 23 saw two allegedly impaired drivers apprehended on Cornwall Centre Road in South Stormont.
SD&G OPP officers responded at 12:46 a.m. to a collision on Cornwall Centre Road and arrested 26-year-old Brandon Lapierre of Cornwall. At 2:06 a.m. on the same road, officers arrested 21-year-old Celine Secord of Cornwall during a traffic stop.
Both are accused of impaired driving-related charges, and both were released and scheduled to appear in Cornwall court on Jan. 16, according to the SD&G OPP.

SOUTH STORMONT — A Windfall Road motor vehicle collision has landed a South Stormont man with a charge of impaired driving.
Officers arrested Larry Moak, 49, after responding to the Jan. 4 collision scene at 10:41 p.m., according to the SD&G OPP.
He was released and scheduled to appear Jan. 30 in Cornwall court.
