WINCHESTER SPRINGS — Yesterday’s mid-day house fire at 3305 Oak Valley Rd. is considered suspicious in nature at this point in time, according to the SD&G OPP.
Located at the west end of Winchester Spring, on the corner of Hollister Rd., the home with evident fire damage was surrounded by yellow police tape late yesterday afternoon. A cruiser from the detachment sat on the opposite side of the road, its lights flashing.
The officer was “awaiting the Fire Marshal to determine the cause of the fire,” Const. Tylor Copeland explained by email this morning. “At this point it is deemed suspicious with the investigation continuing.”
