Watch the Upper Canada Cup Intermediate Volleyball Tournament

AVONMORE — Assuming school bus rides aren’t spiked for a third day this week, Tagwi Secondary School will serve up the 2018 Upper Canada Cup Girls’ Intermediate Volleyball Championship tomorrow — Wednesday, Jan. 24 — and Thursday, Jan. 25.

Regional champions from several Upper Canada District School Board high schools will converge on the Avonmore-based host.

The girls’ edition of the Cup runs the first day, featuring teams from Carleton Place High School, Thousand Islands Secondary School, Glengarry District High School, Rideau District High School, Seaway District High School and North Dundas District High School.

The boys’ tourney goes ahead the second days and includes a Tagwi home team. Also contending for the Cup on Thursday will be squads from Carleton Place High School, Brockville Collegiate Institute, Tagwi Secondary School, Rideau District High School, St. Lawrence Secondary School, and North Grenville District High School.
