NORTH DUNDAS — Police carried out a drug raid yesterday at a County Rd. 31 address, arresting and charging a North Dundas man.
The SD&G OPP reports that Dryden Heuff, 21, of North Dundas is charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance for the purpose of Trafficking (two counts); Unauthorized Possession of a weapon; and Careless storage of ammunition.
Police estimate the street value of drugs found in their Feb. 7 search of the residence at $13,324. According to the SD&G OPP, officers seized marijuana, suspected cocaine, ammunition, brass knuckles and an undisclosed amount of Canadian currency while executing the Controlled Drugs and Substances search warrant. The OPP’s Community Street Crime Unit assisted the local detachment in the action.
The accused was released and scheduled to appear March 6 in Morrisburg court.
Drugs seized at traffic stop
NORTH DUNDAS — Two South Dundas residents in their early 50s have been charged after police seized a quantity of suspected cocaine during a Feb. 6 traffic stop in North Dundas.
SD&G OPP officers intercepted the vehicle on County Rd. 1 shortly after 1:15 p.m.
The detachment says that Coral Black, 50, and Jeffrey Thomas, 53, were both arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance.
They were released and scheduled to appear March 6 in Morrisburg court.
SOUTH GLENGARRY — A 13-year-0ld boy from Cornwall was charged Feb. 7 with assaulting another male youth in South Glengarry.
The single charge of Assault follows an SD&G OPP investigation that began when officers responded to the Jan. 24 incident in the township.
The accused teen is scheduled to appear March 22 in Cornwall court. His name was withheld in accordance with the Youth Criminal Justice Act (YCJA).
Charges after N. Stormont traffic stop
NORTH STORMONT — An SD&G OPP officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation after midnight and discovered the 42-year-old motorist shouldn’t have been behind the wheel.
Corey Pettinella, 42, of North Glengarry was arrested after being pulled over on Sandringham Rd., according to the detachment. He’s charged with: Drive while Disqualified; and Fail to Comply with Probation Order; and is due to appear in Alexandria court.
Impaired charge on Cameron Rd.
NORTH DUNDAS — SD&G OPP officers responded Feb. 2 to a late-night single-vehicle collision on Cameron Rd., arresting and charging a North Dundas man with impaired driving.
Daniel Collins, 31, is scheduled to appear in Cornwall court on Feb. 15, according to the detachment.
