Municipality of South Dundas debuts new $17,000 website

MORRISBURG — The Municipality of South Dundas has launched a new municipal website.

Making its debut yesterday, Feb. 7, the new site retains the original address — — but is touted for a “renewed look and feel” in a press release issued by the municipality.

RedChair Web Design built the new site at a cost of just over $17,000 after winning a Request for Proposals process. The figure includes maintenance and support for the year, explained Katherine Wells, Communications and Tourism Coordinator for South Dundas.

“One of the main objectives of the new website was to make information easily accessible,” said Wells. “Focusing on navigation was certainly a priority.”

Highlights of the new website include:

  • A Property Tax Calculator
  • Sports Lending Library Calendar
  • Enhanced Community Information Module for those looking to invest in South Dundas
  • Easier ways to communicate with staff, including “Contact this Department” forms

The website still incorporates key components of the previous site including Latest News, “My Tax Account” service, and mobile-friendly design.

“We’re excited to offer a stronger platform to connect with residents,” added Mayor Evonne Delegarde. “The website has expanded to include additional municipal information and even more options for users.”

With the upcoming municipal elections, it’s expected teh website will be a go-to place for voter information.
