NATION VALLEY — The region awoke to a coating of ice today, with a freezing rain warning remaining in effect until sometime this afternoon.

Environment and Climate Change Canada says the ice rain will change to patchy rain while a low pressure system moves from Lake Superior to Northern Quebec.

The federal agency advises taking extra care when walking or driving in affected areas.
