Seaway wins bronze
North Dundas squad off to provincials March 20-25
CORNWALL — North Dundas District High School won gold last Wednesday in the girls’ event at the 2018 Eastern Ontario Secondary School Athletic Association (EOSSAA) Co-Ed Curling Championships.
The team of skip Grace Cave, vice Alison Roach, second Taryn Cooper and lead Chloe Ziegler defeated Vankleek Hill Collegiate Institute 6-4 to win the final.
Coach Melissa Cooper said the team’s draw capability made the difference. Cooper also credited guidance on the ice from Assistant Coach James Cave as a contributing factor in the win.
The team will represent the Upper Canada District School Board and region at the Ontario Federation of School Athletic Associations Curling Championships March 20-25 in Fort Frances, Ontario.
Seaway District High School won bronze.
