Fire put out at Levac Propane in St. Isidore

St. Isidore — Firefighters extinguished a blaze at Levac Propane’s facility north of Highway 417 last night.

The OPP temporarily closed a section of County Rd. 9 between Harris Rd and Concession 21 as crews began tackling the fire that started in a back building used for tank refurbishing, according to CTV News.

No injuries were reported and the street was reopened a few hours later. A reported 45 firefighters took part in the successful two-hour effort to put out the fire.

There is no word yet on the cause or the estimated value of the damage done at the facility. Levac Propane has been in the business of selling propane since 1993.
