60-year-old man identified as fire victim in Rockland

ROCKLAND — Russell County OPP have released the name of a man found dead at a structure fire in Rockland last Friday.

The body of Paul Sarazin, 60, was recovered at the Caron Street scene, according to the detachment. Firefighters with the Rockland fire department were dispatched around 6:25 a.m. to the March 16 blaze that broke out in a detached garage.  Police and paramedics also responded.

The cause of the fire is unknown but police say foul play is not suspected.

An investigation continues with the involvement of the Russell County OPP Crime Unit, the OPP Forensic Identification Services Unit (FISU), Coroner, and the Office of the Ontario Fire Marshal.
