2018 Bowl for Kids’ raises just over $63,960 — including $9,434 in Chesterville

In the video below, Ron Graham, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cornwall & District’s new executive director, announces a tally of $6,850 raised during the second and final round of the annual Bowl for Kids’ Sake fundraiser at Chesterville Bowling Lanes on Sunday, Feb. 4. Combined with $2,584 generated in the first round, local teams raised $9,434 altogether in Chesterville — the only site to host the fundraiser outside Cornwall.
A day earlier, the city version generated $54,000 at two other bowling venues. The clip shows Graham’s happy announcement followed by some footage of local politicians playing on a combined Dundas County team. The clip concludes with Betty Wheeler and her stalwart crew making another appearance for the good cause. It was the 40th annual Bowl for Kids Sake and the 32nd in Chesterville.
All told, the 2018 edition raised just over $63,960 between the three involved allies that weekend.
