Racing Against Drugs rolls through Cornwall once again, April 10 to 13

CORNWALL — Once again community partners will be hosting Racing Against Drugs at the Cornwall Armories in Cornwall, Ontario on April 10 to April 13.

Racing against drugs is a bilingual community-based drug and alcohol awareness program which employs the sport of racing to capture the attention of Grade 6 students. The program demonstrates the benefits of a drug and alcohol free lifestyle and offers various alternatives to students by teaching them the required skills to say no to drugs and alcohol.

The program consists of a number of pit stops which are set up in a circular fashion. Representatives from various agencies use the pit stops to explain to students the effects drugs and alcohol has on their bodies while under the influence of an impairing substance as well as enlightening them about healthy lifestyle choices.
