Obituary — Bernard Anthony Curran

Member of R.C.A.F., 1953-58

At his Chesterville home on Tuesday, April 10, 2018, following 5½ years of the debilitating effects of Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis, Bernie Curran of Chesterville, age 82.

Predeceased by his parents Gerald Curran and Hilda McMillan and his wife Madeline MacMillan. Survived by his daughters Gail Curran of Ottawa, Susan Bongers (Paul) of Franktown, Cheryl Rudiak (Rod) of Windsor and Lynne Hume (James) of Courtice, his grandchildren William and Rose McMillan, Anthony and Emily Bongers, Madeline and Chris Yalden, Raija and Griffin Rudiak, Bryanna and Cole Hume, his siblings Dolly Goodwin of Hamilton, Michael Curran (Bonnie) of Hamilton, Garry Curran of Hamilton and
Karen Poirier of Alexandria. Bernie will be sadly missed by his longtime best friend and caregiver Shirley Coons. Also survived by nieces and nephews.

Funeral Arrangements

Friends may call at the Royal Canadian Legion in Chesterville on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at the Legion on Friday, April 13 th at 11 a.m. Donations to the Grantley Cemetery or St. Clare’s Anglican Church mortgage fund would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
