He was born and raised in Toys Hill and later worked on the Welland Canal. He traveled a great deal working on many construction projects. He once traveled to the Grand Ole Opry in West Virginia and enjoyed watching wrestling, playing dominoes, and gardening. He liked country music and used to regularly watch Heehaw, Bonanza and Gunsmoke. He will be missed by many friends and family members.
