Public invited to Ontario East British Home Child Family AGM to be held Tuesday, May 22

FINCH — The public is invited to attend the Ontario East British Home Child Family Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Tuesday, May 22. This year’s event will begin with a tree dedication followed by a dinner and the AGM.

The tree was planted thanks to the initiative of member Carol Goddard in the McIntosh Park on County Road 12 in Berwick. Attendees are asked to gather at the park for the dedication to start at 5:00 p.m. As weather is ineradicable the ceremony will be take place in the gazebo in the park and will be short.

Everyone will then take short drive south to the South Nation Conservation Authority on County Road 12 for a Social Time from 5:30 – 6:00 p.m.

Dinner is scheduled for 6 p.m. followed by the meeting 6:45 p.m. with plans to wrap up the night by 8:00 p.m.  

In support of local business the group has arranged to have Fat Les’s in Finch cater the meal. Pizza along with fresh veggies, desert and hot and cold drinks will be available for purchase prior to the event.
