WINCHESTER — The Winchester District Memorial Hospital (WDMH) volunteers were honoured at the annual Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon held at the Chesterville Legion on April 18.
And the accolades were well-deserved! For 70 years, the Auxiliary has been supporting patients, staff and our community, lending a helping hand wherever needed. In fact, our volunteers donated 13,000 hours of time in 2017.
The luncheon included a wonderful Italian buffet, as well as entertainment provided by CEO Cholly Boland, CIO Sean O’Brien and Engineer Brian McAulay.
At the event, several volunteers were recognized for milestone anniversaries:

25 years – Margaret Countryman
20 years – Dawn Atwood- Ouellette
20 years – Lisa Streng
10 years – Grace Robinson
5 years – Sharel Bell
5 years – Madeline Bourbonnais
5 years – Elizabeth Luck

5 years – Stephen McClellan
5 years – Andrew Barrett
Linda Foster and Brenda Pascoe were also recognized for going above and beyond in their duties. They received an Auxiliary V-Pin.
