WINCHESTER — Who’s hungry? Hopefully everyone who is coming to Saturday Night Fever, the WDMH Disco Gala on June 16 at the Winchester Community Centre. The team at Winchelsea Events will be catering the evening and they have brainstormed favourite foods from the 70s — with an elegant, modern twist of course!

“It’s going to be a fun evening and we’ve had a lot of fun planning the buffet menu,” notes Liz Howarth, Winchelsea Event Coordinator.

The menu will include many throwbacks to the 70s. But don’t worry – Winchelsea Events have updated the classics to become gourmet meals. How about a “Ponderosa” style salad bar or a “Hungry Man Dinner” buffet with all the fixings? As always with the WDMH Foundation Gala, no one will go home hungry!

“If you’re going to boogie all night long, you’ll need a good dinner,” laughs Kristen Casselman, Foundation Managing Director. “Winchelsea Events and our gala committee members make a great team and will put on a wonderful event in support of WDMH.”

The menu will also include vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options if ordered in advance.

“As a long-time supporter of Winchester District Memorial Hospital and as a member of the Winchester community, Winchelsea Events is very pleased and honoured to continue this relationship as a sponsor of this year’s Gala,” adds Liz. “We, along with all our staff, are residents. We’ve all had cause to use the hospital’s services and believe that it is imperative to support its fundraising efforts.”

Proceeds from the event go to the Family Care Fund, supporting care for families just like yours. “Many people are not aware that our tax dollars do not fund everything that a hospital needs. This event is one of the many ways we are raising money to help ensure compassionate, excellent health care at WDMH,” adds Kristen.

Tickets are now on sale for $125 each.  Contact the Foundation Office at 613-774-2422, ext. 6162 to purchase yours.
