WDMH seeking individuals, passionate and committed to local healthcare, to sit on Board of Directors

WINCHESTER — We have a boardroom table – and we’d like you to take a seat. Winchester District Memorial Hospital (WDMH) is looking for some new faces to join the WDMH Board of Directors. If you have passion and a commitment to local health care, this might be a great spot for you.

“Board members are community volunteers who commit their time, energy and expertise to support local healthcare,” explains Cholly Boland, CEO. “They help shape the future of healthcare in our local communities.”

We are looking for community members who use their local hospital, care about the services it provides and want to see the hospital flourish for decades to come. A Board role also offers a great opportunity to expand your network and meet new people.

The Board is made up of people with a passion for improving the quality of care at WDMH. Board members also bring a variety of skills to the table, including experience in leadership, governance, health care, quality improvement and strategy.

The Board has a big job – setting policy and strategic directions to ensure the hospital is both meeting its obligations today and heading in the right direction for the future. It provides a framework within which the CEO manages day-to-day operations.

The Board meets every three months. Various committee and ad-hoc meetings are held in-between. And our food services team provides great food and lots of coffee at every meeting.
