SOUTH DUNDAS — The Municipality of South Dundas has officially launched a new Business Retention & Expansion (BR + E) project that will survey between 80 to 100 businesses. The Municipality wants to gain an in-depth understanding of the future plans and needs of local businesses, and how business owners/managers view the community as a place to do business.

Information from the survey will be used to plan future economic development activities focused on the top priorities of local businesses. The Municipality of South Dundas will be assisted by MDB Insight who will work with South Dundas staff to review the completed surveys for challenges and opportunities that the local business community is facing. Businesses are encouraged to participate in the telephone survey and since selection is random, they may be contacted between May 28 and June 22. The survey should take no longer than 15 minutes to complete.

The Business Retention and Expansion project was identified as priority in the 2017 South Dundas Economic Development Strategy. “The Economic Development Office is looking forward to conducting the project over the next couple of months and I encourage the businesses that are contacted to participate in the survey to help us in this endeavour,” said Rob Hunter, Economic Development Officer.

The project is scheduled to run until July when all the results of the survey are gathered and analyzed.
