NORTH GLENGARRY — A 48-year-old North Glengarry man faces two sexual assault charges for incidents involving a teenage girl.
His name has not been released to protect the identity of the victim, according to the SD&G OPP.
Officers arrested the accused on May 18.
He was released to appear July 4 in Cornwall court.
SOUTH DUNDAS — A 15-year-old South Dundas male is charged with uttering threats in that municipality.
SD&G OPP officers arrested the teen May 18 after responding to the reported incident shortly before 11 a.m.
Released to appear in Cornwall court on June 28, his name has been withheld in accordance with the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
SOUTH GLENGARRY — A boat and trailer were stolen from a Purcell Rd. property sometime over the last number of weeks.
SD&G OPP officers responded to the reported theft on May 18.
The boat is a 1978 Glastron Runabout fibreglass unit with blue seats. The trailer is a 2016 Home grey trailer with Ontario plate N7881P.
Impaired charge in North Dundas
NORTH DUNDAS — A single-vehicle collision on County Rd. 3 led to impaired driving charges for a local woman.
SD&G OPP officers responded to the scene shortly before 11:25 p.m. on May 19.
The local detachment says that North Dundas resident Taunya Van Allen, 47, was arrested and released to appear June 5 in Cornwall court.
Impaired charge in South Dundas
SOUTH DUNDAS — A two-vehicle collision on Highway 401 led to impaired driving charges for a Quebec woman on May 20.
Officers responded to the South Dundas scene at just after 1:30 p.m. and arrested Karen Whiteaway, 49, of Saint-Julie, Quebec, according to the local detachment.
Police say the accused was released to appear June 5 in Cornwall court.
Assault charges in North Dundas
NORTH DUNDAS — A 39-year-old North Dundas man was arrested May 20 for assaulting his wife.
SD&G OPP officers responded to the reported domestic situation at just after 10 p.m.
Charged with two counts of assault, he was released to appear June 19 in Cornwall court.
Driver of stolen vehicle arrested
SOUTH GLENGARRY — A Chambly, Quebec, man was arrested for driving a stolen car after police pulled the vehicle over on Highway 401.
SD&G OPP officers stopped the Toyota Corolla, which turned out to be stolen in Toronto, shortly before 10:40 p.m. on May 20. The driver was also found to have marijuana in his possession, according to the local detachment.
Police say that Mohamed Aroud, 18, is charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 and possession of a controlled substance. He also faces a charge of driving without a licence under the Highway Traffic Act.
The accused was held in custody pending a bail appearance in Cornwall court.
13-year-old boy accused of false 9-1-1 call, assault, mischief
SOUTH DUNDAS — A false 9-1-1 call sent SD&G OPP officers into an Iroquois school shortly before 10:20 a.m. on May 14.
A 13-year-old South Dundas male was consequently arrested and charged with False Information.
The next day, police say, the same youth was arrested after striking an adult male with a weapon and damaging property in Morrisburg. Officers responded to that May 15 incident — involving a disturbance on Sir James Morris Drive — shortly before 6:30 p.m., charging the teen with Assault with a Weapon and Mischief in that case.
In both instances, the accused was released to appear June 21 in Cornwall court. His name can’t be released by law.
SOUTH DUNDAS — A 22-year-old woman and her 21-year-old boyfriend were both arrested after police responded to a May 15 domestic situation, shortly before 10 a.m. in South Dundas.
She’s charged with Assault. He’s charged with Mischief.
Both were released to appear June 12 in Cornwall court.
