SDG – Officials with the Ministry of Transportation have confirmed that County Road 15 (Avonmore Road) at Highway 401 will finally reopen to traffic the week of June 4th.

The roadway has been closed over the provincial highway since spring 2017 while the overpass was demolished and replaced.  Although located on a County Road, the structure is owned and maintained by the province of Ontario. It’s one of a series of Highway 401 overpasses replaced locally in the past several years.

“The County looks forward to seeing the road finally opened. Ministry officials have remained committed to ensuring that the end result will be a quality structure, and I trust that this bridge will
provide our road users years of excellent, uninterrupted service,” says Benjamin de Haan, Director of Transportation and Planning Services for SDG.
