County Rd. 7 drug raid charges for woman; S. Stormont man charged with possessing stolen bobcat; sexual assault charge for S. Dundas man

NORTH DUNDAS — Police say a woman was charged in connection with a May 29 drug raid on County Rd. 7.

The search warrant yielded pot and marijuana plants, cocaine, crystal meth, meth and speed pills, GHB and cash, according to police. The search also turned up ammunition and multiple stolen firearms — including a sawed-off shotgun — and a Yamaha ATV.

North Dundas resident Brittany Tessier, 31, was arrested, according to the SD&G OPP.

The detachment reports her charges as:

• Possession of a Controlled Substance for the purpose of Trafficking (5 counts);

• Produce a control substance;

• Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000 (9 counts);

• Unauthorized Possession of a weapon ( 4 counts);

• Careless storage of a firearm ( 5 counts).

The accused was released and to appear July 3 in Morrisburg court.

Officers with the Community Street Crime Unit, (ERT) Emergency response team, (TRU) Tactical Rescue Unit and SD&G OPP took part in the action that led to her arrest.


Stolen property charges

NORTH DUNDAS — A man has been charged after police turned up a stolen Bobcat and trailer from Ottawa at a McIntosh Rd. property on May 28.

Donald Helder, 48, of South Stormont was arrested as a result of the investigation launched at just after 9:30 a.m. by officers with the community street crime unit, according to the SD&G OPP.

The detachment says he’s charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.

The accused was released to appear July 3 in Morrisburg court.


Sexual assault and forcible confinement charges

SOUTH DUNDAS — A 41-year-old South Dundas man is accused of sexual assault, assault, forcible confinement and uttering threats.

He was arrested and charged June 6 as a result of a sexual assault investigation conducted by officers with the SD&G OPP and the detachment’s crime unit.

The charges relate to a domestic situation, and the name of the accused has been withheld to protect the identity of the victim.

He was held in custody pending an appearance in Cornwall court.
