Update on June 4 bus crash, three people now deceased

PRESCOTT — Three people have now died as a result of Monday’s bus crash on Highway 401. The latest to perish from her injuries is a 60-year-old woman, Weiping Lu from China.

Her death, announced by police this morning, follows that of 57-year-old Xueying Ye, a woman from Shanghai, China, who died yesterday. 

The first victim was a 54-year-old man, also from China.

The cause of the motor vehicle collision is still not determined and the investigation is presently ongoing.

Two other passengers remain in hospital with life threatening injuries. They are reported to have improved and are now in stable condition.
