NORTH STORMONT — A North Stormont man faces weapons-related charges after police seized multiple firearms — both long guns and side arms — at a North Stormont dwelling.

Police say that Julian Villeneuve, 26, was arrested as a result of the search warrant executed June 8 at the Roxborough Gardens Rd. address, where officers determined the accused had discharged a gun inside the residence. No injuries resulted.

Held in custody pending a Cornwall bail hearing, Villeneuve is charged with two counts of careless use of a firearm and three counts of possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose, according to the SD&G OPP.

Officers with the detachment, the Crime Unit, and the Emergency Response Team all took part in the search.
