Break & Enter & Robbery
KEMPTVILLE — A break and enter occurred at the former Kemptville Public School on July 6, Reuben Crescent in Kemptville. Culprit(s) broke a window and emptied a fire extinguisher inside the building. Investigation is ongoing.
KEMPTVILLE — A break and enter occurred on July 8 at Pirate Cove Marina on Rideau River Rd., Kemptville. Sometime overnight, culprit(s) stole five boat motors. An investigation is ongoing.
KEMPTVILLE — A break and enter and robbery occurred at a residence on Westerra Way, in Kemptville on July 4. Culprit(s) entered the home and stole jewelry and silverware. Investigation is ongoing.
OSGOODE — A vehicle was observed shortly after 1 p.m. on July 2 travelling southbound from West Hunt Club exit on Hwy. 416 in the northbound lane.
The vehicle was reported to be going at a high rate of speed.
When police arrived on scene the vehicle was spotted travelling in the wrong direction in a construction zone and on the wrong side of the construction barriers.
The driver was suspected of driving while impaired and arrested. Kyra Hagerty, 19, of Laurentian Hills, was later charged with impaired driving, driving with more than 80 mgs. of alcohol and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.
KEMPTVILLE — A driver was stopped and suspected of impaired driving on July 8 by Grenville OPP While conducting a RIDE program on the southbound off ramp to Highway 416 in Kemptville. The male driver registered a “fail” on the roadside screening device. The driver Glendon Buck, 43, of Barrie, was arrested and later charged with driving with more than 80 mgs. of alcohol.
KEMPTVILLE — Sometime over the long weekend in July, culprit(s) drove all terrain vehicles onto the greens of Rideau Glen Golf Course causing extensive damage. The investigation is ongoing.
