DOMESTIC ASSAULTS

SOUTH DUNDAS — An altercation occurred between a female and her common law-husband on July 18 shortly after 11 a.m. in South Dundas. The accused female struck the victim and damaged his property. Investigation further revealed that the accused was under the influence of alcohol when Police located her in her vehicle near the residence. The victim received no injuries. The female then resisted during her arrest.

A 45-year-old female of South Dundas, was arrested and is charged with;

–            Assault

–            Mischief

–            Drive of a Motor Vehicle with Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol in blood

–            Driving a Motor Vehicle while Impaired

–            Resisting a Peace Officer

She was released and is scheduled to appear in Cornwall court on August 7.

SOUTH STORMONT — A domestic disturbance occurred between a young male and his girlfriend on July 18 just before 1 p.m. The accused male struck the victim. Investigation further revealed that the accused was breaching previous release conditions.

A 17-year-old male of Ottawa, was arrested and is charged with;

–            Assault

–            Failure to Comply with conditions of a Recognizance

He was released and is scheduled to appear in Cornwall court on August 9.

EXCESSIVE SPEEDS

 SOUTH DUNDADS — A 42-year-old female was stopped on Hwy. 401 on July 17 shortly before 9 a.m. by SD&G OPP during a speed measuring enforcement. The Saint-Hubert, Quebec resident was charged with Stunt Driving (Highway Traffic Act). Her vehicle was also impounded and driver’s permit seized for seven days in accordance to policy.
