CORNWALL — The Social Development Council of Cornwall and Area and its Vibrant Community Roundtable partners are launching a survey to help them build a common agenda.
The Vibrant Community Roundtable is a project that brings together various community members from all walks of life representing Akwesasne, Cornwall and the United Counties of Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry. Community members include government representatives, individuals from the business, non-profit and interfaith sectors along with individual community members who have lived experience dealing with poverty or have faced adversity.
The purpose is to engage in discussion about how to address complex societal issues like poverty and community livability. The ultimate goal is to form a group that will work together to build a healthier and more resilient and vibrant community for all.
“There is so much strength when an entire community gets together to support a project. This is why I see so much potential with The Vibrant Community Roundtable” says Carilyne Hebert, Executive Director of the Social Development Council.
VCR and SDC are asking for your help in developing their Common Agenda and determining their main focus. This survey is the next step in building a vibrant community. Responses will directly impact the direction the roundtable will be taking.
“We want to hear from residents from across all of SDG, C and A. We want to engage people from all sectors, backgrounds. The survey is short and shouldn’t take more than 3 minutes to complete. The main questions are about your personal priorities and our community priority. These 3 minutes will help shape the work of the Vibrant Community Roundtable.”
