CHESTERVILLE — OPP SUVs covered the downtown Chesterville around 1 p.m. this afternoon at the Scotiabank Chesterville Branch.

Nation Valley news spoke to one of the bank employees who confirmed it was not a bank robbery but that a fight had broken out in the bank’s parking lot.

She also added that she had heard that a car window was smashed during the fight.

OPP Constable Tylor Copeland confirmed that there was a fight and called it a “domestic situation”.

He knew nothing more about the incident.

“All I know is that there was a domestic situation between a male and a female,” said Copeland.

“I’m not sure if there was a window smashed or not,” he added.

He also told NVN that details would be sent to us within the next day or so. Stay tuned for details on the matter.
