Accused males strike victim’s car with a bat in Chesterville

CHESTERVILLE — A disturbance occurred shortly before 5 a.m. on August 4, on Queen Street in Chesterville.

Investigation by police indicated that the altercation occurred between various males. The accused males struck the victims vehicle with a bat and fled the scene.

A 17-year-old male of Casselman, was arrested and is charged with;

–            Assault with a weapon

–            Two counts of failure to comply with recognizance

–            Mischief

He was released and is scheduled to appear in Cornwall court September 6.

Cody Thurlow, 20, of The Nation, was arrested and is charged with;

–             Mischief

–             Disguise with intent

He was released and is scheduled to appear in Morrisburg court September 4.

Shayla Rice, 19, of Casselman, was arrested and is charged with mischief.

She was released and is scheduled to appear in Morrisburg court September 6.

Impaired Driver

MORRISBURG —  SD&G OPP officers pulled over an adult female driver around 1 a.m. during a traffic stop on Lakeshore Drive, Morrisburg on August 5. The investigation revealed that the adult female driver was under the influence of alcohol.

Danika Sabourin, 24, of Aylmer, was arrested and is charged with;

– Driving a motor vehicle while impaired

– Driving a motor vehicle with over 80 milligrams of alcohol in blood

She was released and is scheduled to appear in Cornwall court on August 16.
