IROQUOIS — An all-terrain vehicle (ATV) rollover sent three people to hospital at just after midnight in South Dundas.

The trio was travelling aboard the ATV, which was eastbound on Broken Second Road when, for reasons still under investigation, the machine left the roadway and rolled over into a ditch, according to the SD&G OPP.   All three were ejected in the 12:13 a.m. crash occurring between Marine Station Rd. and County Rd. 1.

Two of the occupants went to hospital with serious injuries. The third suffered life-threatening injuries and was transported to hospital by air ambulance.

Officers with the local detachment processed the scene with the assistance of OPP Traffic Collision Investigators (TCI).

The roadway was closed for a period but has since reopened.  Police say their investigation continues and that further information will be available at a later time.
