WINCHESTER — JoAnne Laurin of Morrisburg and Ron LeClair of Chesterville will be teaming up to bring an afternoon of art in support of Dundas County Hospice on Sunday, Sept. 23, at the Old Town Hall in Winchester. The event begins at 1 p.m. with an art show featuring the works of LeClair in the foyer of the theatre, followed by a 2 p.m. concert featuring vocal selections by Laurin and concluding with a small reception following the event.

Laurin, who grew up in the Chesterville area and studied music and performance from Siaca’s Melody Makers in Long Sault, will make her professional debut at this event. Laurin related how the upcoming date fulfills a dream held since her youth. Her studies have perfected her musical and vocal techniques and instructed her on professional performance techniques, she says.

She is joined at the event by LeClair, who will hold a show of selected works of art beginning at 1 pm. A life-long resident of Chesterville, the artist is a multi-dimensional talent whose creations range from folk art to business signage to in-depth paintings — all of them demonstrating the precise nature of his artistic abilities.

Contact Laurin at 613 543 0695 for more information and to inquire about tickets.
