RICEVILLE — Woodworkers, artisans, businesses, woodlot owners and “do-it-yourselfers” are all invited to attend the 2018 Riceville Wood & Forest Exhibition (previously the Glengarry Wood Fair held in Dunvegan) on September 9 at the Riceville Fairgrounds, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The event will feature displays and demonstrations from over 50 local exhibitors whose businesses or organizations involve a connection to wood or forest. Additionally, a wood auction will be taking place at 3:00 pm for those interested in acquiring locally sourced wood.
Food will be available thanks to La Binerie Plantagenet, and a bar will open at 11:00 a.m. serving local craft beer.
Live music will be provided by The Riverstone Group, The Vankleek Hill Old Time Fiddlers, and Laurie & Adam Girard.
This family-friendly event will also feature children’s programming, including face-painting, activities, and a mini-zoo.
The event’s admission fee is $10 per person, or $25 for a family of 4 (free admission for children under 12). The event is taking place at the Riceville Fairgrounds, located at 4029 County Rd 16, only 6 minutes from Saint-Isidore, Exit 51 off Highway 417.
