Back to school is always a nerve-racking time in a teenager’s life, especially when going into Grade 9. On Thurs., Aug. 30, North Dundas’ Link Crew Leaders came together to welcome the Grade 9s to high school. In groups of roughly 10 students, they played energetic games, and went on a tour of the school. A pizza lunch was provided, and the students went home with better knowledge of the school.
With the first week of school coming to an end, picture day was quickly approaching. Picture day took place on Thurs., Sept. 6, so all students and staff dressed well and brought their smiles.
Even though it is the first week, many clubs and sports have began, or will begin this week. Cross country started Fri., Sept. 7, and practices will continue on Mondays and Wednesdays each week. Junior and Senior boys volleyball teams sign ups were on Friday as well, with tryouts and practices to follow. GSA club also started last Friday, with more meetings in the future. On Mon., Sept. 10, Drama Club will also start meeting weekly. Lastly, the first WE team meeting will be held on Tues., Sept. 11.
North Dundas would like to welcome our new Vice Principal, Mr. Simon Bartsch, to our school. We are excited to see what new things he will bring to the table, and we look forward to having him as Vice Principal.
