What a Team!

EMBRUN — Some people say that ‘TEAM’ stands for ‘Together Everyone Achieves More’. And that is exactly what happened when Caisse populaire Nouvel-Horizon and Desjardins Insurance teamed up to support local health care. On July 31, they came together to present two cheques for a total of $17,000 for the WDMH Foundation’s Family Care Fund.

Once again this year, Caisse populaire Nouvel-Horizon participated in a program with Desjardins Insurance. It is called Prêt à redonner or Ready to Give Back and it offers incentives for increased insurance sales that include donations to local charities. Caisse populaire Nouvel-Horizon met their target and received a gift of $8,500 from Desjardins Insurance. Caisse populaire Nouvel-Horizon then matched the gift, resulting in a $17,000 donation to the WDMH Foundation.

“We are so grateful to both Caisse populaire Nouvel-Horizon and Desjardins Insurance for this generous gift,” noted Kristen Casselman, WDMH Foundation Managing Director. “It is so heart warming to work with generous community businesses who are so supportive of local health care.”

The Family Care Fund does just that – supports families just like yours. Donations to the Family Care Fund will be used where your gift is needed most: to buy new medical equipment, upgrade existing equipment or meet other urgent needs at WDMH. We work with our donors to help ensure compassionate, excellent health care.
