Warrant executed — pot seized
NORTH DUNDAS — A man and a woman were arrested after a police seized a quantity of marijuana Sept. 6 at a Loughlin Ridge Rd. property.
SD&G OPP officers were assisted by the Community Street Crime Unit and Emergency Response Team in the execution of the search warrant.
Police say that Real Roy, 62, and Sylvie Mainville, 48, both of North Dundas, have been charged with producing a controlled substance.
Mainville faces an additional two counts of failing to comply with conditions of a probation order, according to the detachment.
Both accused were released to appear Oct. 9 in Morrisburg court.
Warrant executed – drugs and weapons seized
SOUTH DUNDAS — A police raid turned up multiple stolen firearms and property, along with a quantity of marijuana, at a Prospect Rd. property, leading to the arrest of two South Dundas men in their fifties.
SD&G OPP officers were assisted by the Community Street Crime Unit and Emergency Response Team in the execution of the Aug. 16 search warrant.
Police say that Bobby Richardson, 51, and Frank Lalonde, also 51, have been charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.
Richardson faces two additional charges of possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order.
Both were released to appear Oct. 9 in Morrisburg court.
South Glengarry road rage
SOUTH GLENGARRY — A Quebec man is accused of losing his cool and resorting to violence on Highway 401 in South Glengarry.
Police say the enraged motorist exited his vehicle and damaged another vehicle while stopped on the highway, Sept. 8.
SD&G OPP officers responded to the reported disturbance and other traffic complaints shortly before 3:20 p.m., arresting Francois Xenos, 56, of St-George De Clarence, Quebec. Police say he’s charged with mischief, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, criminal harassment – threatening conduct, and causing disturbance.
Xenos was released to appear in Alexandria court on Oct. 10.
SOUTH DUNDAS — A 33-year-old North Dundas man is accused of assaulting his ex-girlfriend.
SD&G OPP officers arrested him after responding to a Sept. 7 domestic disturbance in South Dundas, shortly before 6:30 a.m.
The detachment says he’s charged with assault and fail to comply with conditions of a probation order.
The accused was released to appear Sept. 25 in Cornwall court.
NORTH GLENGARRY — Sometime overnight on Sept. 4, a thief or thieves broke into an outbuilding on St. Anne Rd., taking various frozen meats, gas cans and a garden trailer.
The incident was reported to police on Sept. 8.
