Stolen Items from Vehicles

DIXONS CORNERS/SOUTH MOUNTAIN — A series of cars vandalisms and thefts took place last Tuesday, Sept. 25 in North and South Dundas. Megan Grotenhuis of Inkerman, reported her car being smashed and broken into shortly after 7:30 p.m. Her car was parked in Dixons Corners. Grutenhuis explained to Nation Valley News that all the windows of her car were smashed and her wallet was stolen. 

“They smashed two windows and ran away with my wallet,” said Grotenhuis. She added how shocked she was that it happened in Dixons Corners of all places. She later reported that there was over $2,800 in damage done to her car.

Another car was reported to be smashed and broken into less than an hour later on Main St, South Mountain. Culprit(s) then entered the vehicle and removed a purse.

Donation Clothing Stolen

CHESTERVILLE — Several items of clothing were removed from a locked donation bin located outside the Presbyterian Church shortly after 8 p.m. on September 26. A white SUV was seen in the area during the theft.
