Rock the night away to benefit Ottawa-area tornado victims in Greely this Saturday, Oct 6!

GREELY — After several tornadoes touched down Sept. 21 in the nation’s capital, many Ottawa-area residents are without houses, clothing, and food.

Local resident Mary Ann Thompson has taken it upon herself to organize a fundraising event to be held in Greely this coming Saturday, Oct. 6 at the Greely Legion from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m. — harnessing the rockin’ power of the Bordertowne Boys and friends.

Thompson’s partner, Mike Larose, is frontman and owner of the rootsy band based in South Mountain.

The couple also credit Geraldine Fitzsimmons of the South Dundas Chamber of Commerce for rounding up lots of donated goods for that evening’s silent auction.

The live music event will be hosted CTV’s own Graham Richardson. Dance the night away to the various local bands and live entertainment including Eddie & the Stingrays, Cory. M Coons, Helium, and of course, Bordertowne Boys.

A light lunch will be served.

Tickets can be purchased at Greely Legion (613) 822-1451, Kelly’s Vintage Goodies Morrisburg, Chamber of Commerce Morrisburg, Hudson’s Auto Body Kemptville, the Planet Arrow in Winchester, or by calling any of the numbers on the poster below.

Join in the fun all while raising money for our neighbours in need to the north!
