One suspect remains unidentified after a September break and enter

OTTAWA — The Ottawa Police Service is investigating break and enter incidents and is seeking the public’s assistance to identify the remaining suspect responsible.

Between September 19 and 27, two individuals gained entry to buildings situated at the University of Ottawa. Once inside the buildings, the males proceeded to steal several laptops totalling approximately $10,000 in value.

On Monday, October 1, one of the involved males was identified and subsequently arrested for his involvement in the matters. The second male remains unidentified at this time.  

He is described as a black male, some facial hair, carrying a red backpack, white baseball cap with the Nike logo, black hoodie, black t-shirt with a white design showing in two of the pictures. (view pictures)

Anyone with information relating to this break-in, or any other break-in, is asked to call the Break and Enter Unit at 613-236-1222, ext. 4533. Anonymous tips can be submitted by calling Crime Stoppers toll-free at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS), or by downloading the Ottawa Police app.
