Suspected pumpkin thief’s image released by Russell County OPP

EMBRUN — Russell County OPP say they’ve received two complaints about a woman swiping pumpkins late at night in Embrun.

The alleged culprit first struck around 11 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 7, when she was spotted exiting the passenger side of a newer white two-door vehicle to purloin a pumpkin from the front of a Menard Street residence.

The second incident happened shortly after midnight the following evening, when the same female suspect was observed stealing pumpkins from another residence in the area of Lapointe Boulevard.

Police describe her as caucasian, approximately 5’6″ in height, 25-35 years old, with shoulder length blonde hair and wearing glasses and white button-up sweater, black pants and light-coloured, high-style boots.
