Police identify 17-year-old driver killed travelling wrong way on 401

MORRISBURG — A 17-year-0ld North Glengarry youth has been identified as the driver killed while going the wrong direction yesterday on Highway 401 in South Dundas.

The SD&G OPP say Joshua Seguin was behind the wheel of a passenger vehicle that entered the highway headed eastbound into the westbound lanes, colliding with an oncoming tractor trailer shortly after 9:35 a.m., Oct. 10.

The crash closed the westbound lanes of the highway between Upper Canada Rd. and County Rd. 31 for several hours before reopening.

An investigation continues involving officers with the local detachment and OPP Traffic Collision Investigators.
