RUSSELL — DeafBlind Ontario Services is hosting its second annual Art in the Dark fundraising event at Russell High School on Saturday, October 20. From 5:00 – 9:00 p.m., guests will enjoy an insightful, one-of-a-kind art experience.
Art in the Dark, attendees will experience the artistic process while undergoing a simulation exercise wearing earplugs and an eye mask. By using touch, they will interact with art in ways they may not have before. This exercise will provide them with a better understanding of deafblindness. At the end of the evening, guests will have created a work of art to take home.
To enhance this unique sensory experience, guests will also enjoy a delicious dinner, fabulous live and silent auctions, and a trip raffle where they could win one round trip flight for two to anywhere WestJet flies!
Art in the Dark, presented by the Lions Club of Russell, raises funds to support specialized services for individuals who are deafblind.
Tickets available at www.deafblindontario.com or 1-855-340-3267 ext.289.
