RUSSELL — The Downtown IDA Russell Pharmacy team cares for its customers and they want to help them. So, they came up with a great way to do so!

“So many of our patients’ lives are affected by cancer,” explains Cindy Cecillon, Pharmacist and Co-Owner.

“We wanted to donate to our local cancer care centre so that they can continue to provide support to those in need.”

In September, the team hosted a Customer Appreciation BBQ, donating $600 to the WDMH Foundation’s Cancer Care Fund. They collected donations in exchange for a hamburger or hotdog and delicious cake. There were also great gift basket raffles.

At similar events held in 2014 and 2015, the group raised $900 for the Foundation’s General Equipment Fund.

“It is so fun to work with such generous donors in our community,” notes Cindy Peters, Manager of Direct Mail & Events. “We are so grateful to the Downtown IDA Russell Pharmacy and other community groups for hosting these wonderful fundraising events.”
