Since it is the end of October, some sports are coming to an end, while others are beginning. The boys’ volleyball teams and the girls’ volleyball teams are playing fewer and fewer games as the weeks go on. Last Tues., Oct. 23, the junior boys’ volleyball team played against Charlan and won. The senior boys’ team played against CCVS and Holy Trinity and won both those games as well. On Thurs., Oct. 25, the junior and senior girls’ basketball teams travelled to Cornwall to play against CCVS. Sadly, the juniors lost 40-55, but the seniors prevailed, winning 49-29. The same day, the cross country team travelled to St. Michael Catholic High School in Kemptville to run in EOSSAA. A huge congratulations goes out to Jack Link, who placed 4th in his race, and will be continuing on to OFSAA.

It is the week of Halloween, so North Dundas has spirit days Monday, Oct 29 until today (Wednesday, Oct 31). Today is Orange and Black day, tomorrow is Halloween Headgear day, and students can wear their costumes to school. Students and staff will all have a blast!

Lastly, prom committee is hosting a Spaghetti Dinner and Cake Auction on Thurs., Nov. 22. The dinner will be held in the cafeteria at 4:30, and the cake auction will take place at 6:30 p.m. in the gym. Tickets are being sold for $10 for people over the age of 10, and $5 for children under 10. Tickets can be purchased from any graduating student, the office, or you can purchase them at Winchester Foodland on Nov. 3 and 4 between 12 p.m. and 4 p.m. These tickets will go to offsetting prom ticket costs.

North Dundas is wishing everyone in the community a safe and fun Halloween night!
