15-year-old caught with stolen car on Highway 401

SOUTH GLENGARRY — A 15-year-old male from Toronto was caught behind the wheel of stolen car on Highway 401 this week.

Responding to a traffic complaint shorty after 10:10 a.m., an SD&G OPP officer intercepted and arrested the young man Nov. 26 in South Glengarry.

Charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, the teen was released to appear Dec. 20 in Cornwall court. He can’t be named because of his age, under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

Impaired charges in North Dundas

NORTH DUNDAS — A single-motor vehicle collision on County Rd. 31 triggered a police investigation and alcohol-impaired driving charges for a local man.

According to the SD&G OPP, officers responded to the Nov. 27 incident around 2:20 p.m., arresting Eric Moore, 42, of North Dundas.

The accused was released to appear Dec. 13 in Cornwall court.

Stolen car in North Glengarry

NORTH GLENGARRY — A Chevrolet Impala was stolen from a County Rd. 43 North Glengarry residence sometime overnight, Nov. 26-27.

The SD&G OPP report the missing car as maroon in colour and bearing Ontario plates BYZD 683.
