Charges for theft at Canadian Tire in Morrisburg

SOUTH DUNDAS — Two men have been charged for stealing goods from Canadian Tire in Morrisburg.

Police began investigating the reported theft on Dec. 2, determining that two individuals had entered the store and removed various items.

Officers with the SD&G OPP and Community Street Crime Unit  arrested Christopher McRoberts, 40, of North Dundas, and Randy Froats, 23, of South Dundas, on Dec. 7.

According to the local detachment, both of the them are charged with two counts of theft under $5,000 as well as failing to comply with conditions of an undertaking.

McRoberts and Froats were held in custody pending a bail appearance in Cornwall court.

Excavator and trailer stolen 

SOUTH GLENGARRY — A 2017 John Deere mini excavator and a 2009 Belmont SS1 black trailer were stolen overnight from a South Service Rd. property, Dec. 6-7.

The loss was reported to the SD&G OPP that morning.

North Dundas breach

NORTH DUNDAS — Police picked up a North Dundas man Dec. 8 for contravening his previous release conditions.

SD&G officers responded to the situation shortly before 9:40 p.m., arresting Shaun Typhair, 37.

He’s been charged with fail to comply with conditions of recognizance, according to the local detachment.

Typhair was held in custody pending a bail appearance in Cornwall court.
