IROQUOIS — Iroquois Public School held their annual Christmas Concert at their neighbouring Seaway District High School last night. They had to host it at Seaway because of the amount of children and their parents in attendance — just look at the size of the three-combined kindergarten classes!
Each Grade, as well as the school’s choir, sang an average of two songs each. They combined some great classic Christmas songs with some new songs and ‘Kinder Shark’ to the tune of the popular kid’s song ‘Baby Shark’ — as sang by the kinders in the thumbnail video.
It was very cute to see some children really stand out and shine on stage. One little girl was seen putting extra ‘sass’ into the classes’ choreographed show.
A huge thank you goes out to the many teachers and organizers of the show; it just wouldn’t have been the same without them.
Parent Council also had high school students standing inside the door to receive free will donations. Half of the funds raised were to benefit Community Food Share and the rest will help purchase needed outdoor equipment for the students. In a post on the school’s FaceBook page Parent Council announced this morning that the food bank will receive $290 thanks to the generosity of those in attendance last night!
