Canadian Tire owners and staff help spread holiday cheer to local charities

MORRISBURG — ‘Tis the season to give and Canadian Tire in Morrisburg has done just that.

Through staff fundraising and fund matching the store has collectively raised $6500.

Money was raised from in-house staff fundraising, store raffle for $500 shopping spree, and customer donations to raise a total of $6500.

The corporation also single-matched all donations but Jumpstart, which was double-matched.

All monies raised were distributed to various local charities including:

Christmas Exchange: $2000

Community Food Share: $2400

Naomi’s House: $800

Local Jumpstart Chapter: $1350

Lions club angel tree: Merchandise to top up whatever they are short of
