CHESTERVILLE — Students and staff of Chesterville Public School (CPS) had a festive feast during their annual Christmas Dinner at the Legion.

All 170 students and staff were bussed to the legion thanks to the generosity of one bus driver, Barb of Carrier Bus Lines.

The North Dundas District High School choir filled the room with holiday music while attendees enjoyed their homemade meals.

All the food was kindly donated and prepared by the unsung heroes of CPS — Parent Council.

Everyone was amazed by the spread of mashed potatoes, ham, turkey, corn, buns, veggies, fruits, and delicious cakes prepared by Winchester Foodland.

A Christmas dinner wouldn’t be the same without Santa Claus of course! ‘The Big Guy’ made his appearance as everyone was finishing their meals and sat among the students for pictures and hugs.

One of CPS’s newest staff members told Nation Valley News how glad she was that there were still schools that believed in traditions and working together to hold something so fulfilling for everyone.
