50-year-old Guatemalan Super Speeder clocked at 174km/h on 401 in South Dundas

Super Speeders

Between December 28, and December 31, SD&G OPP officers conducted speed measuring enforcement on Highway 401, intercepted a vehicles for traveling at excessive speeds. The vehicle was impounded and the driver’s permit seized for seven days in accordance to policy.

SOUTH DUNDAS — A vehicle was stopped shortly after 7 a.m. Dec. 31 travelling 174km/h (100km/h zone) on Hwy 401. Male driver, 50, from Guatemala was charged with Stunt Driving (Highway Traffic Act).

SOUTH GLENGARRY — A vehicle was stopped shortly after 7 a.m. Dec. 29, travelling 154km/h (100km/h zone) on Hwy 401. Male driver, 58, from Oakville, was charged with Stunt Driving (Highway Traffic Act).

Impaired Driver

SOUTH GLENGARRY — On December 29, 2018 at approximately 3:28 a.m.,SD&G Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a motor vehicle collision on Dec. 29 at 3:30 a.m. on Hwy 401 in South Glengarry. Investigation revealed that the adult male driver was under the influence of alcohol.

Wendy Yves Walter, 34, of Montreal, was arrested and is charged with;

– Drive a motor vehicle while impaired – blood alcohol concentration 80 plus

– Drive a motor vehicle while impaired – causing bodily harm

– Two counts of failure to comply with probation order   

She was released and appeared in Alexandria court January 1.
