Christmas Day Super Speeder clocked at 192 km/h on 401 in South Dundas

Super Speeders

Between December 24 and December 27, SD&G OPP officers conducted speed measuring enforcement on Highway 401 and Highway 417, intercepted vehicles traveling at excessive speeds. Each vehicle was impounded and the driver’s permit seized for seven days in accordance to policy.

SOUTH DUNDAS — A vehicle was stopped shortly after 11 p.m. Christmas Day, travelling 192km/h (100km/h zone) on Hwy 401. Male driver, 26, from Markham, was charged with Stunt Driving (Highway Traffic Act).

NORTH GLENGARRY — A vehicle was stopped shortly before 3 p.m. Christmas Day, travelling 162km/h (100km/h zone) on Hwy 417. Male driver, 19, from Brampton, was charged with Stunt Driving (Highway Traffic Act).

SOUTH DUNDAS  — A vehicle was stopped shortly before 3 a.m. Boxing Day, travelling 152km/h (100km/h zone) on Hwy 401. Male driver, 21, from East York, was charged with Stunt Driving (Highway Traffic Act).

SOUTH DUNDAS — A vehicle was stopped shortly after 3 a.m. Boxing Day travelling 162km/h (100km/h zone) on Hwy 401. Male driver, 28, from North York, was charged with Stunt Driving (Highway Traffic Act).

SOUTH DUNDAS — A vehicle was stopped shortly before 8 a.m. travelling 165km/h (100km/h zone) on Hwy 401. Male driver, 32, from Aurora, was charged with Stunt Driving (Highway Traffic Act).

SOUTH DUNDAS — A vehicle was stopped at 8:30 a.m. Christmas week travelling 155km/h (100km/h zone) on Hwy 401. Female driver, 24, from Windsor, was charged with Stunt Driving (Highway Traffic Act).

SOUTH DUNDAS — A vehicle was stopped shortly after 9 a.m. Boxing Day travelling 166km/h (100km/h zone) on Hwy 401. Male driver, 28, from London, was charged with Stunt Driving (Highway Traffic Act).

 

Assault

CHESTERVILLE — A female was assaulted shortly before 10 p.m. Christmas Day, during a domestic dispute on King St., Chesterville.    

An adult male, 35, from Chesterville, was arrested and is charged with:

– 1 count of Assault

– 1 count of Assault with a Weapon

– 1 count of Mischief Under $5000.00

– 3 counts of failure to comply with probation order

He was held in custody pending a court appearance in Cornwall.

 

Motor vehicle taken without consent

NORTH GLENGARRY —  A single-vehicle collision occurred shortly after 4 p.m. on Christmas Eve on Angel Rd., North Grenville. Police investigation indicated that a male had taken a motor vehicle without consent.

Claude Mark Bonneville, 25, of North Glengarry, was arrested and is charged with:

– 1 count of take motor vehicle without consent

He was released and scheduled to appear in Alexandria court on February 6.
