Male charged after bomb threat during robbery Shakespeare St., Ottawa

OTTAWA —  A male suspect walked into a business on Shakespeare Street on Saturday, January 5, claiming to have a bomb. The male then held out a remote and stated that he would blow up the clerk if he didn’t hand over the cash.

The clerk called 911, patrol officers attended and located the suspect still inside the store where he was arrested without incident.

Camil Darwich, 51-years-old, of Ottawa has been charged with:

  •       Robbery
  •       Disguise with Intent

Darwich appeared in court on January 6.
